The 11th of March 1628
The last will & testament of Patr: Clucas, wch departed 
this life the 18th of October 1629. He left to the poore 
in wheate & barly 1 boule, and xx boule of oatemeale & 
a mutton or two.  
Item, Left to his 4 children viz: Jo: Kathren, Issable 
& Mariatt Clucas a cow or an oxe betwixt them for a legasie.  
He said that Mrs Jaine Christin, the old Deemsters wife 
was to give him 20s his parte thereof viz: 10s he 
bequeathed to Wm Oats vicr: & if it might not be had 
without trouble then he willed that his executor should 
give him the said vicer 10s willed alsoe that all the 
intackes in his possession should remaine to the farme, 
except his part of the cloasse, wch he bequeathed unto 
his sonne Oats Clucas.  
Item, Left to the said Oats Clucas fortie stoukes of oats 
out of the whole crops willed his wife Margrett Killy & 
his sonne Oats Clucas xx executors of all the rest of his 
goods moveable & unmoveable.

WHEREAS QUESTION WAS MOVED by other of his sonnes in 
claime whether ye decedent was in perfect remembrance 
the minister of ye parish wth ye othr teste have taken 
upon there corporal oath yt ye sayd Patr Clucas was 
of perfect & good memory xx xxx d--eme b any xx make 
his will to them ---------, 
ergo probatum est ut supra.         
Xxx The executr at lawful yeares hath upon ----------- 
--- in --- invent 3 pounds & 10s & hath bound himselfe 
------ --- 20 pounds ad usum domi to secure ye office.                    

JO: QUAYE ENTERTH HIS CHALLENGE for ye benefit of a 
handfasting bargaine promised to him by Oates Clucas 
for & in the behalfe of his fathr Patr Clucas for wch 
he craveth the lawe & desyreth ye Courte to take[?] --- 
office of his clayme ---: wch is refered to ye tryall 
to the ----- corporall power where hee is to --- ------ 
by course of lawe to bee releemed
