The testament of Mallownie Callow who depted the 28th of August 1637. He bequeathed his soule into the hands of almightie God and his bodie to Christian buriall. It, he bequeathed to the poore one firlet oat meale and one sheep and the rest at discretion. It, he constituted and ordained his son Wm Callow his true and lawfull execut of all his goods movable and unmovable. Supervisors of this my last will and testament my brother Patrick Callow. Testes: Wm Quarke, Mariad Callow, jurati. Probatum est et solvit 1s. Invent 3 page following. The overseers wthin named are ----- to be att Ballaugh on Thursday next. Invent of the goods of Malowny Callow and Katherine Lowine his wyfe priced by Ewan Corteen and Wm Clucas as followeth: Imprimis one cow price 19s It, one yong cow 3 yeres ould price 12s It, 3 goatts, 1 sheepe price 7s It, a pair of nets price 5s It, a turfe stocke price 26d It, an ould fledge an ould blanket price 8d It, certain ould vessels price 8s It, 3 stoukes of barly 19 stoukes of otts price 31s Pledge Donald Corkill cum Wm Quarke. Donald Calow Pledge Patrick Calow et Wm: Lowny bound ymselves for both Inventries wth there heires & execrs for the forth coming of the goods according to law and to secure the office sub poena double Inventory ad usu domi. Jo: Martin entereth his claime agt ye execur of Agt ye execr of Mallowny Callow Mahould Jo: Martin for 4s & 100 herrings Doncan Costen for 1 firlett barley et 1 firlet dry corne & 1 sheepe Wm Lowny for 3 firletts barley The 19th of June 1638: Willm Kewley entereth his clayme against the execr of Malony Callow for three halfe firlet of barley due for the worke of an oxe & craveth tryall accordinge to Law. December 20th 1637: Wm Dobson entereth his claime agt the execrs of Mallowny Calow for the some of 3 pounds 6 pence as may appeare by a Bill under the sd Mallowny Callowes owne hand, for wch he is referred to the law. The 15th of May 1638: Patrick Callow and Margret Lowny Supervisors of Mallowny Callow and Kath: Lowny child, have sworne before me that there is noe goods free to put in Invent for the sd child.
