Pattr Clerke is bound in the penaltie of double value 
of the goods wthin mentioned and to keep the 
office harmlesse for the forthcoming of the same.

Be it knowne to all men to whom it doeth comee---- 
that I Jonie Teare of Sandue[?[ was the wyffe of 
John Skayles late deceased do acknowlede and conffesse 
to have ------ed wth John Skayley of the parish 
of Jurbie for and in the behalf of John Skeyley 
my sone and sone unto the above sd John deceased 
for the pte or portion due unto my sd sone John 
by the last of Phillip Skayley his uncle Donald 
Kerret smith hath bound himself in the penaltie 
of double the value for the forth coming of the 
sayd goods when the excr reaches to yeares of 
discrettion and to keepe the office harmlesse.

The will of ye wthin named Skaly is p----- 
cum consensu plin as twenty appeareth under 
Sr Jo: Clarkes hand who was present att ye 
agreemt made betweene yem.

Ye pty whn named Jony Teare hath ----- yr pr--- to be true.

------ ---e -- the witnesses wth in a fornight ------ 
did tell the sayd Philip that Pattr his brother was dead, 
the sayd Phillip ---- sayd my wyll is that John Skaley 
my brothers sone & Jo: his sonne shall have that portion 
of the ---- ship wch he shold have and I bequeath 4s 
unto his daughter of the ---- wch was in his hands 
and the other 4s to --- excutrix Jain Tere ---- as legasie.

--- wthin a few dayes after I Sr John Clerk did wysh 
him to make his wyll he -----ed, and sayd who shall 
have my goods but those that did best loocke to me 
now in my sickness.

The Court in Discrecon hath ordered that a jury be 
impannelled to find out who was best unto him in 
his sickness that an execr may be ordayned.  
Inventory wthin 14 dayes subpoena 5s.
