Archdeacon Will 1637A #159 Maughold will of Joney Christian als Christian, ? date [Is this ArW 1637A #159 of Joney Christian instead of 1637A #51 Maughold?]:
Summary: husband Edmund Christian is alive, son Evan, dau Margaret, dau Catharine, dau Isabel Christian, sister Isabel Christian, brother Mr Edward
Christian, brother William Christian, servant Catharine Martin, also Mary Stowell/Stole, witnesses: Patrick Corkill & William Christian.
?Son: Episcopal Will books 1639-1642 Maughold, will of Evan Christian / Christen.
NOTE: This will was found among the 1640/41 presentments on the microfilm. It was not dated, nor was any Parish mentioned in the will. The microfilm did
not contain the 1637 will of Joney Christian of Maughold in its proper sequential place, so I have deduced (hopefully not erroneously) that this will is
from 1637 per the Old Typed Index, and from the parish of Maughold. The old Typed Index does not list a will for any Joney Christian in the years 1638,
1640, 1641 or 1642. (There is no Archdeacon Will book for 1639.)
