Archdeacon Will 1659A #57 Lezayre will of Philip Curghey, dated 20th January 1658/9: : 
Summary: wife Jane Caveen, no children are recorded, sister Joney Curghey, sister Ann Curghey, nephew (brother's son) Robert Curghey, brother Ewan Curghey, 
nephew John Curghey (father is Ewan Curghey), also: William Quayle, Richard Kewish & John Kewish, Deemster Christian, witnesses: William Caley & Robert 
Caley, pledges: Sir Edward Crowe & John Curghey.
Brother & nephew: 1654 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Ewan Curghey & his son John Curghey sold a parcel of farmland in Alia Soulby for 4d rent to Daniel Curghey, 
who was entered for it in 1665.
Self & wife: 1654 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Philip Curghey & wife had 2 parcels of farmland, one of 3s 6d rent & another of 5s 8d rent, in Sulby treen, and 
on 29 May 1654, John Kewish & Richard Kewish were sold a parcel of 6s 1d yearly rent & entered for it, with Philip Curghey & his wife keeping a parcel of 
3s 1d rent, with that parcel falling to John & Richard when the longer liver of Philip & his wife died.

Ewan & Philip Curghey, wife Margaret Kelly (remarried John Callow).
Will of mother: ArW 1633A #093 Lezayre will of Averick Curghey alias Kinread, died 18 April 1634: husband Robert Curghey, dau Margaret (married), dau Joney 
(married), son Ewan (married to Cath Lawson), son Philip, son John, dau Annas; also Deemster Ewan Christian (overseer) and 'young' Deemster John Christian 
(the son of Deemster Ewan).

KK Christ Le ayre 20th Januarie 1658 The last will and testament of Phillip Curghie. First committed his soule to God, his Creator and Redeemer, and his bodie to Christian burial etc. Itt, hee bequeathed unto his sister Jonie ...12d legacie Itt, hee bequeathed to his sister Ann .......12d legacie. Itt, hee bequeathed unto his brothers son Ro:... 3s legacie. Itt, hee bequeathed unto Wm Quayle one calfe wch is alreadie payed. Itt, unto his brother Ewan 22 shillings of the monies due from both the Kewishes and to be payed after the death of his weife. Itt, he bequeathed unto his brothers sone Jo: xxti shillings of the monies due from the sd Kewishes, and to be payed after the death of his weife, Itt, he bequeathed unto Joyne Coavine 14s of the monie due from the above Kewishes and to be payed after the death of his sd weife. Itt, unto the minister 2s legacie. Itt, hee constituted, appoynted and ordayned his weife his true and lawfull executr of all his goods movable and unmovable. Noate, that wheras the above Testator was indebted unto Joynie Caveine, some goods, they Testes Wm Cally both have in commen, to a mutuall iurat Ro: Cally agreement, and the sd Joynie did acknowledge before the witnesses of this will that she was fully satisfied wth the portion that the deceadent gave of hir con-----l 17 Jun 1659 The exec sworn Probat et solvit 6d. A true inventorie of all the goods movable, and unmovable of the above Testator, due his executr, viz 5£ Itm, fyve pownds 14s due from Richd Kewish and Jo: his brother Itm, from his sister Ann xxti shillings. Pledges Sir Ed: Crow, & Jo: Curghye, secundu forman legis. The above Testator to cleare his owne counsciense doth declare that he was by and in presence when Ewan Curghie promised to his sone Jo: these particulars in bargaine of contraction viz: halfe his team of oxen half the crope of corne, at the end of tyme or tymes and until then hee the sd John was to haive the third part of the premises and at the expiracion the other parte to m-----[dark edge] --- halfe; and after the death of the sd Ewan ------[dark edge] his lands whatsoever [next page] By vertue of Mr Deemster Christions, orders ---[word in fold] mee Edward Crowe minister to take the oath of Phillip Curghie concerninge what bargains Ewan Curghie promised unto his sone John in condition b----[in fold] the sd Phillip did sweare unto me all wch he willed or declared before the wittnesses annexed to the will And to testifie the same I haive subscribed my name June 17th 1659 Ed: Crowe minister 17 June 1659: Tho: Mcylcarrane entereth his clame agst ye exec of Phill Curghye for 5s sterling and craveth the Law. 15 8bris 1659 Thomas Kinred entereth his claime against ye exec of Phill Curghye for 5s sterling and craveth ye Law.
