Archdeacon Will 1659A #48 Bride will of Amy Christian als Christian, died 9 February 1658/9, intestate:    
Summary: husband Captain/Mr John Christian is alive & probably remarried, only child Edward Christian was nursed for 3 months by a wet nurse before he 
died), administrators & inheritors of Amy are her siblings per Court: brother James & sister Ann & sister Jane Christian, father Mr Edward Christian, 
pledges: Mr Richard Tyldesley & Thomas Norris registrar,  NOTE, the goods that Amy brought to her marriage were returned to her family, per the custom 
of the Isle of Man.    
See 1673 Liber Vastarum Jurby: John Christian had a farm of 9s rent in the treen of Lez Sulby, and John and his wife Amy sold a parcel of meadow of 2d 
rent (called Lany-ne-cleogey) to Thomas Mylecarran, who was entered for it in 1673.   

Bride Amy Christian departed this life ye 9th of Febr 1658 intestate; and likewise the only child of ye sd Amy viz Ed: Christian who (by Law) ought to be and ye Court would have ordained her Administrator departing this life not capable of making any will; whereof the Court have inge notice hath decreed (accordinge to ye ancient Lawes and Customes of this Isle) the next of kinred on the mothers side from whom the goods came viz James, Anne & Jaine Christian Administrators, A legasie to ye father of ye orphant upon sight of ye Invent, viz 7£ 17 June 1659 The Administr.
