Margerie Lace als Craine, 1675

10           April the 10th 1675: 
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Margerie Lace
als Craine being sick in body, but whole in mind and of perfect memory
(thanks be to God) made this her last will and testament in 
manner and form following: 
first, she committed her soul to God, and her body to Christian burial.  
Item, she bequeathed to her son Danll:Lace her part of the crop, 
of the teams, and of the houses with her part of the cupboard.  
Item, she left and bequeathed to her daughter Ales Lace a peckled heifer; a
nd her son Danll: to pay her four pounds when she hath occasion to use it.  
Item, she declared that she cut her daughter Nelly off with what goods 
they gave her out of their own hands, further she declared that 
Tho: Lace was paid of in the quarter of the milne already, and that 
whosoever would redeem the milne should have it.  
Item, she constituted and ordained her loving husband John Lace 
sole Executor of all the rest of her goods 
whatsoever moveable and unmoveable.  
Witnesses: 
  Robert Kelly  } 
  Doniell Downe } jurati.       
  
The Executor sworn in form of law.  Probatum et solvit 12 pence.            
14 days granted to bring in an Inventory 
              sub poena 20 shillings.   
			  
The Inventory of the said testatrix given ins by 
the executor amounts to 10 pounds 2 shillings 6 pence.  
The goods in the Executors custody and have given pledges 
in form of law James Ratcliffe, Donll:Lace.            

This will was proved in KK Andreas ye 23d of June 1676 
before Sr Tho:Parr Vicar General & Sir Jo:Hudleston Registrar.            

September 17th 1676: Thomas Crenilt enters against 
the executor of Margery Craine for the sum of 20 shillings 
due debt for which he hath land in mortgage due 
debt and craveth trial.          

October 8th 1676: Richard Brew and his son Philip Brew 
enter against the executor of Marjorie Craine for 
the sum of 13 pounds 10 shillings due debt as appears 
by specialty, having land in mortgage for the same, and craveth trial.         

October 8th 1676: Sir John Huddlestone enters 
against the said executor for the sum of 4 pounds 10 shillings 
due debt for the clerkship and also the rest of 
landsxxxx[?], and craveth trial.        

November ye 6th 1676: Ricd Lawson enters against the 
executor for the sum of 5 pounds sterling due debt and craveth trial.        

November ye 1st 1676: Henry Inch enters against 
the executors of Margery Lace alias Craine for 30 shillings 
due for xxx he hath land in xxxx due debt as 
appears by specialty, & craveth trial.         

xxxxx 1676: Ev:Kelly and his wife Christian Keneene for and 
behalf themselves and Willm Ratcliffe children against the 
executor of Margery Lace alias Craine for the 
full sum of five pounds sterling, for which they have land in 
mortgage as appears by specialty due debt and 
craveth trial.       

xxxxx also the said Rob: enters his claims against 
the said executor for 10 shillings[?] wages due him 
and 2 s 0d for mowing hay due debt and craveth trial.        

xxxxx Ales Lace and the executors of John Crebbin enters 
their claim against the executors of Margery Craine for the sum of 3 
pounds for which they have land in mortgage and craveth trial.       

xxxxxx enters against the said executor 
for the sum of 20 shillings lent money to her husband, due debt.
