This is affirmed to be the last will and testament 
of Margret Steane alias Cubon who departed this 
life the 19th of November 1675.  
First she committed her soul t God and her body 
to Christian burial.  
Item, she left the poor after the discretion of her executor.  
Item, she left to her son John the heir an ox and 
her part of the crop of corn with what she bought 
from her son in law Robert Crayne with all the gears 
and necessaries belonging to husbandry conditionally 
that he pay unto his sister Jane what she is behxxx 
of her portion by contract upon the mother’s part.  
Item, she left to her son Thomas half a steer of a 
year and a half old, 4 sheep and half of a xxx 
of of russet cloth that was in the walk milne legacy.  
Item, she left to her son Robert the othr half of the 
foresaid cloth, half a small linen sheet, and a sack legacy.  
Item, she left to ther daughter Margrett 4 sheep, 
a new gray blanket, a wasecoate, a petticoat, a new 
apron, a carchief, and a handcarchief legacy.  
Item, she left to her daughter Jane a new hood of 
woolen cloth and a green apron legacy.  
Item, she left her daughter Isabel all the clothes 
linen and woolen that was in the house.  
Item, she constituted and ordained her son Robert 
and her daughter Isabel to be her true and lawful 
executors of all the rest of her goods moveable 
what soever.

The Executors sworn in Court in form of law.  
          Probatum et solvit 12d.        

A true Inventory taken by 4 sworn men and the Sumner: 
Item, 1 cown price              00:14:11;    
Item, sheep young & old price   00:13:00;    
Item, one horse                 00:10:00;    
Item, a quarter boat            00:05:00;    
Item, certain wooden vessels    00:02:00.   

The goods in the executors custody and have 
given pledges, Ro: Hanton & Phillip Cluage.           

July 12th: 
Robert Kewlew enters his claim against the 
executors of Margt Steane for the sum of 4s 
due debt and craveth trial.”
