Maughold the 28 of November 1675
The last will and testament of Robert Kerroush, 
who departed this life ye day and year above 
mentioned.  
Imprimis, he committed his soul to God, and 
his body to Christian burial.  
Item, to his son Robert his riding horse, bridle, 
saddle, his cloake, and best apparel.  
Item, to his grandchild Robt Kerroush his half 
of the Curragh Ewan.  
Item, to his grandchild Jane a peckle heifer, 
two sheep, and two lambs in ye Coane-moar.  
Item, to Robt. Cannan halfe a heifer in ye Curragh.  
Item, to Ewan Kerrish of Ballagorry one sheep.  
Item, to William Kerrish one sheep.  
Item, to ye Vicar of ye Parish one choice mutton.  
Item, to William Callow one sheep in ye Sliaue-Rey.  
Item, to Edward Callow one sheep, and a white 
wasecoate that he then had on in his death bed.  
Item, to his brother John halfe a crown.  
Item, to his brother Ewan half a crown.  
Item, to his son John ten pounds, and desired 
his wife to give him ten pounds more, which 
she promised in our presence, but not to be 
paid until she was dead; and this twenty pounds, 
ye above Robert ordered to be put into some 
persons hands, and ye use thereof to be for 
John’s maintenance, and ye principle to return 
to his Executors, except twenty shillings which 
he bequeathed to Tho: Allen Vicar, and desired 
him to supervise his son John, that he should 
sustain no detriment in his usage, but that he 
should be decently provided for, in such manner 
as he hath been hitherto maintained.  
Item, to ye poor a firlet of meal. And constituted 
and appointed his son Robert & daughter Jony 
his true and lawful Executors of all ye rest of his goods.  
Item, he said that there was due to him from 
Peter Sumpter sixteen shilling, from Robt Cowle 
six and six pence.

Probatum et solvit 12d.       

The Inventory of the decedent which is already 
prized amounts to 12 pounds 6 shillings 0 pence.  
And to be xxxxxx before midsummer & subpoena 20s.  
The sheep and goats each of them 2s apiece and 
the yearlings 1s 4d apiece when they come in, 
amounts according to the prisement to 05:00:00.
