Archdeacon Will 1676A #20 Arbory will of Thomas Coonill / Conilt / Cannell, died 10 December 1676: Summary: father Thomas Coonill, brother [John] in Ireland, sister Ann Coonill will of sister: ArW 1679A #25 Patrick will of Ann Coonill / Conilt, died 5 February 1679/80: cousin (aunt's daughter) Jane Quay (married to William Quirk by 1692), brother John Coonill (in Ireland), John Coonill's daughter, mother Joney Corris (remarried Phinlo Clucas), father Thomas Coonill / Conilt (dead); also: Richard Clucas NOTE: Coonill / Conilt became Cannell. See: ArW 1678A #01 Onchan will of John Coonill / Conilt / Cannell, died 20 March 1677/8: wife Joney Knickle, dau Catharine, dau Catharine junior, also: William Cubbon (?son in law: he entered a claim for half of John's lands & 40s) AND Onchan parish register: Joh: Cannell buried 22 March 1677/8 NOTE: AW Moore in Manx Names, 1906, indicates that Conilt/Conill/Coonill, etc, 'are probably merely forms of Cannell'.
