                       KK  Christ Lezaire   May ye 20th  1677

The last will and Testamt of John Carret who being
Sick in body but whole in mind and of pfect memory comitted
his Soule to god and his body to xtian buriall.  It. he left to his
[Eldest] Son Donold Carrad the half of all his lands [in] [secure] – the houses
and all maner of husbandry gears [wch] he dyed possess of wth a quarter part
of the cropp of Corn and desired his wife that She would assent that their sd 
Son Donold should have the other half of all the lands after her deate to
wch She consented and engaged her self, provided that if Donold dyed
…ithout Issue yt it was wholly and intirely to descend to their 
Son John Carrad.  Item he left to his Son John  20s. Legasie and ordin….
his said eldest Son to give him other forty shillings in [consideracon] of His *…..*
wch was left to him.  Item he left to his Son Donold a Colt of the [Ray] maire
Item to his younger daughter a sheep and a lamb.  Item to his wife a sheep
& a lamb.  Item he Constituted and apointed his Eldest daughter Sole &
lawful Executrix of all the rest of his goods movable and imovable
and she to pay her Sister  40s, and a Blankett &a Sheet when She had
occation for it, alsoe he left to Wm. Xtian a Coat & pare of Britches
and a pare of stockings, and to John [Cotten] a Coat.

      John Carrett  Entrs for ye  40s mentioned in his Fathers will to be
      paid him by his Eldest brother Don: Carrett & craveth the Law
