           Ewan Corkle depted this life about ye 10th of Decembr : intestate, wherof
           the Cort having inteligence hath decreed that when first the youngest daughter
           Grace Corkle is paid her portion of Goods due unto her by the death of her
           mother Marriot Martin, that wch was in her ffathers hands, that then the re =
           mainder shall & be equally pportioned according to ye [fourall] contracton bargaine
           given by him unto his daughtrs Mally and Grace Corkle, and a Legacie 
           to the wife upon sight of the Invent. and whereas there is ten shillings ……..

to be joynt & coupled together in the holy Estate of Matrimony
they have alsoe in behalf of their Children A:o [with] Grace Corkill
daughter to the sd. Ewan, and William Corkill son to the above Ellin
Bell, concluded and condisioned upon these Articles of marriage
following.
ffirst that the sd Willm & Grace shall enter into the Estate of
Matrimony before All Saints day next Ensunig &c l __ __ __

Secondly the sd Ewan Corkill & Ellin Bell doe promise En
gage and oblige themselves to give the young Couple psently after
Marriage, or when they please to demand the same, all wt goods
is due to Either of them by death of the sd Willms. father or ye
sd Grais her Mother wth, wt other helpe or assistanse they can
from time to time give them, and after the death of the Longer
Liver of Either the sd Ewan or Ellin his Intended wife; that their
Whole Estate of goods & Lands moveable or immoveable of what
nature soever shall solely return to the sd young Couple; resort
ing onely ten Shillings to be at the desposing of Either of them at
the latter day and the sd Willm & Grais doe hereby engage them selves
that their sd father & mother shall Enjoy the half of all their lands & Materials & belonging
during the life of the longer liver of them
Thirdly that if it shall please god to call for either of the sd 
young couple Intestate and leave noe Issue begotton betwixt them
that then and in that case the Survivor shall Enjoy the Whole Estate
of all matter of goods where they shall then be possessed of for ever

AND for the pformance of all the above expressed they have hereby
bound and obliged themselves [Extrs] to other in Penaltie of Twenty
pounds Sterlin half to the Honable Lord & the other half to the party
pforming covents  In TESTIMONY whereof they have to these

upon by and be twixt Patrick Cormoad of the parish of KK
Bride in be half of his son John Cormoad ………. one partie
and Ewan Corkill in be half of his daughter Mally

ffirst it is agreed upon by and be twixt the sd. Patrick 
Cormoad and Ewan Corkill that their sd. Children (viz)
John Cormoad and Mally Corkill shall Enter into the
Holy Estate of of matrimony, on [tuesdayy] 19th instant
Gods lawe and holy Church permitting
The sd. Patrick Cormoad duly bind himself to give his sone presently
after marriage overand above all that is [left] or due to his son
[alsoe] by the death of his deceased mothr the …… part of the 
                      one sufficient beaste
Cropp of Corn ye ….. …… ^ of the [team of oxen], his part of the
plough land the materialls thereunto belonging …. His part of the
husbandry gears, the young couple returning to the sd. father the sume of
twentie Shillings Stirling, and ….. the sd. Patrick duly give [the]
         couple
sd. Young ^ the whole Estate of Lands given him [the] sd. Patrick in Contract
by his father wth all the mortgage – [Land] …… by him …… provided
that if the same be refused that the young couple shall return
him fourtie shillings of wch the Land was mortgaged [forr]
Ewan Corkill duly give in [portion] to ….. ….. sd. daughter all that
is due to her by the death of her mother, is an horse of three year old
and the two parts of of his goods moveable and unmovable after his 
death
ly If it soe fall ….. that the sd. Patrick Cormoad shall return to the
lands now granted that the [fourtly] part of land shall be and remain for
himself and further wt …… land is purchased by the sd. Patrick Cormoad
in his [latter] …… days, that if the young couple have a mind therto
they shall have it paying onely the price first payd for it
