Archdeacon Will 1677A #099 Ballaugh will of Michael McYlcarane / Mylecarane, died 3 December 1676: 
Summary:  wife is alive(remarried to John Cowley, died by November 1680), son William (heir, underage, of age by 1682), 
son Thomas (underage, died by July 1682), son Michael (underage, of age by 1693), brother William Mcylcarane, bro

Ballaugh The last will and testament of Mitchell Macylcarrane whoe departed this lifie ye 3 of December 1676. ffirst he bequeahted his soule to God and his body to Christian buriall. Item to ye poor twentie shilling to be distributed at his funerall, if he would be buried in KK Xt but if in Ballaugh, but 15 shillings; Item he bequeathed unto his son Wm his heir ye same bargan he gott himself in ye farme, wth a gray coult and his parte of ye ground he bought from his Bro: Wm Macylcarrane called ye Koppaugh, Item to his brothers daughter Jony Macylcarrane a sheep and a lamb, Item to his bro: Tho: an old mair in his owne custodie; Item to ye Parson a mutton if he would come to his burriall; Item to his wife his parte of ye gray mair and Lastly he constituted and ordained his two children Thomas and Mitchell Macylcarrane his true and lawfull executors of all ye rest of his goods moveable an immoveable whatsoever, and if his children died under years the goods abovsd to returne to his bro: Tho: his children, and all his brethern and sisters to be cut off wth 6d legasie He committed the tuission and guardianship of ye sd children with their goods to Tho: Macylcarrane and Will: Craine, & if in case ye children die under age and ye goods returne as aforesd that then Wm Craine should have twentie shillings therof to himselfe Tho: Mcleycarane is sworn supvisor, also The declared at ye time of this will makeing that there was due to him from Mitchell Cross five shillings from Jo: Tear ballanedin 2s-4d from Ewan Kinred Ballamanaugh 2s-6d, from Jo: Kewley 4s but if he paid 3s quirtly yt yn ye other shilling should be forgiven him The wife is sworn in fform of Law The Invent within 14 dayes sub paena xs[10s] Decemb: ye first 1677 Jony Mcleycaran entrs against ye Executrs of her unkle Michell Mcleycarane for a sheepe & lambe due to her by his will, also for a keau and spitt a mullock --- as much of Loughton cloath as would be a wasecote and 2 boards, and ----[dark] tryall July ye 20th 1680 Wm Mcleycarane son of Tho:[sic] doth acknowledg to have ----[dark] a cow in 26s 8d price from his oncle Thomas in pt of his fa----[dark] goods wittness his mrk Wm Mcleycarane X Coram me Joane: Christian Re----[dark] Salvo tamen jure suo [next page:] Ballaugh The Invent of Michell Mc=leycarane prized by 4 sworn men, viz John Teare, Ffinloe Carrett, John Stean, Thomas Cowley, as followeth £ s d 2 cowes prised to ................................... 02 -
