July ye 6th 1679

In nomine Dai, Amen, I John Lace being sick in body
but of good and perfect memory praised be God for it, do make
my last will and Testament in form following.

First I commit my soul unto God, and my body to Xtian buriall.
Item I leave to ye poor at ye Discretion of my Executor.  Item I
leave for legacie for my son Daniell Lace, all my fishing gears.  Item
I leave to my Eldest son John Lace my parte of a feather bed
after his mothers Decease.  Item I leave to my Daughters Alice &
Anne, a sheep and a lamb.  Item I constitute and ordaine
my loving wife Kath: Kaighin my true and lawfull Executrix
of all my goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever, and to
perform this my last Will and Testament as above written.
