Archdeacon Will 1685A #05 Braddan will of Marriad / Margaret Cowle alias Oates, per Deed of Gift dated 1 November 1685:  
Summary: husband [Robert] Cowle is not mentioned [died about 1675, Episcopal will], friend Elithabeth/Elsabeth/Isabel Elizabeth Cowle? alias Callow; 
John Kinley & wife were left 6d legacy, witnesses: Robert Carran & Margaret Moore.
Braddan parish register: Mariod Oats de Duglas  buried 10 December 1685.
Husband: Robert Cowle   Episcopal Will 1675-7, decree.
?Mother: Episcopal will books 1659-1666 Braddan, will of Margaret Oates alias Keig / Keogh.
   ?Mother: Braddan parish register:  Margaret Keg  buried 16 April 1666.
?Relative:  Episcopal will books 1651-1656 Braddan, will of Margaret Kinley alias Oates.
   ?relative:  Braddan parish register:  Margaret Kinlye als Oats  buried  12 October 1657.
1648 Liber Vastarum, Onchan: Margaret Oates was entered for a cottage in Douglas of 10d rent, and in 1648, her daughter Margaret Oates & daughter's 
husband Robert Cowle were entered for it, plus another 10d rent having been bought from Edward Christian, so that the whole rent was 20d yearly.
1686 Liber Vastarum, Onchan: Margaret Oates wife of Robert Cowle had a cottage for a yearly 
rent of 10d and Margaret sold it to Patrick Christian who was entered for it in 1686.
NOTE:  The Will lists the Testator as Margaret & as Marriad, but the Braddan defuncts and the Braddan Parish Register lists her as Marriad.
