KK Conchan May 14th 1685 This is affirmed to be ye last Will & Testament of Catherin Christian alias Brew being in perfect memory, first she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian Buriall in KK Lonan Church. Itt. she left to ...... ............ ....... among the poor half a firlett(?) of meal at her buriall and half a firlett(?) at ......... ......... and a choice Mutton, & also three shillings worth of Boor(?) at the funeral. Itt. she left to Catherin Clague four yards of woolen cloath. Itt. she left to her Brother Thos. Brew a Sheep. Itt. to her Sister Jane Brew a Sheep Three petticoats & a waistcoat and all her ............ Linnens save one choice handkerchief yt. she left to her husband. Itt. she left to Isabell Christian Leach(?) a Smock and her wearing(?) petticoat & an Apron. Itt. to Jane Christian two petticoats, a pair of Bo.... & a Smock. Itt. to Anne Corkill a Blankett. Itt. she left to her husband James Christian four yards of cloath that is in the ............. to be collored ........ and all ye un......... linnens in the house & woolen whether whether[sic] Blanketts, or Sheets, also to her sd Husband the choicest mare & Colt Legacy. Itt. to John L.....(?) a Sheep. Itt. to Isabell Crooch(?) a Sheep or a hogg whether my husband pleaseth. Itt. she constituted her only son James Executor of all ye rest of her goods moveable & immoveable and left the tuition of her sd Child and goods to her Husband James Christian till it came to fourteen years of age, and if ye child dyes in ye interim yt fourty Shillings of the Child’s goods should return to her Sister Jane and other fourty shillings betwixt her three Brethern and all ye rest to her husband. Itt. she willed yt if it please God yt ye Child live to lawful age yt ye father should give Seven pounds in lieu of the Executorship with half the ........ half ye ........ & half ye husbandry Gears (which she thought was the full extent of her pt of Goods) that then ye father paying & Discharging the Debts himself should not be ............ for any more to which regard of the Testatrix the husband gave his consent & oblige himself to perform ye same & .........
