Braddan 1686-1 William Cowley Departed this life about the 15th of March 1685 intestate, whereof the Church having intelligence hath Decreed his 3 children vizt: Jane Cowley (by the former wife) and Jon. and Maria(?) Cowley (by the second wife) sole and joint Admrs. of all his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever, who are all under age. And the next of Kindred on the fathers side vizt: Jon Cowley Supervisor And a Legacy to the wife upon sight of the Inventory. The wife is Sworn to bring in a fact Inventory Salvo tamen uinuig and the Supervisor to be Sworn at Ramsey next Monday Suo quine Decretum Est. el Solivit ..... The Supervisor is Sworn in Court accordingly. The Inventory prised by 4 Sworn men vizt: Tho. ......... Jon. ............ Hugh Cowley and Thom. Curghey Item halfe a heifer 00:05:00 Item halfe a horse 00:09:00 Item in household stuff 00:02:06 The one halfe of the Inventory wth the tuition of the children is in the Supervisors hands & hath given pledges according to law Wm.
