This is affirmed to be ye last Will & Testament of Mariod
Steane alias Gelling who Departed this life ye 29th of .........
1686.  first she committed her Soule to God & her body 
to Christian buriall.  Item she left to her father George
Gelling & her mother Jane Gelling alias Corran(?) her .........
to Dwell in During ye rest of ye longer liver of either
of them if they would please to live in wishing her husband
Robert Steane to give ye Son help towards ye lively hood .....
She constituted & ordayned her loving husband & her
only Daughter Jane Steane to be joyntly Executors of all
her goods moveable & immoveable whatsoever & yt. the sd.
child & ye goods should be in ye fathers tuition until ye
child should be at lawful years & 6d legacie to any
yt would claim as right any thing after her Death.

Testes: John Lawton(?) X	)		The Witnesses have deponed in Court
Issable Cubon	X		)		that the Testatrix at ye ordayning &
............ Quay			)  jurati		appointing of her Execr. expressed herself
						in these words; vizt that all the goods
						wch were betwixt herself and her hus=
						=band, are to be equally betwixt
						himself and her child; whereupon
						ye Court approved(?) and Doe Decree
						that ye said child shall be only Execr. of her
						part, notwithstanding that ye same
						is otherwise expressed in ye Will
						as above wch ............ thereof is
