34         Conchan 1694
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of 
THOMAS COTTER who died the 14th of April 1694. 
First, he committed his soul to God and body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, He left to JOHN HIS SON and HEIR his half of the 
crop and husbandry gears. 
Item, He left to his DAUGHTER CATHRINE (with the consent 
of his WIFE) the croft that he formerly lived in with 
6 shilling rent during the longer life of herself or 
husband when she would marry if they would have issue 
and then to return to the rest of the tenement, and if 
his said DAUGHTER should be molested by the heir, it 
was his will she should enjoy the Intack forever. 
Item, He left to his said DAUGHTER CATHRIN half the 
cow called Birragg. 
Item, He left his TWO DAUGHTERS MARRIAD & CATHRIN 
Executrices of all the rest of his goods movable 
and unmoveable whatsoever. 
Item, he left CAPT. OATES and HIS TWO DAUGHTERS 
overseers of the HEIR. 
Witnesses: 
Nich. Kelly, 
Paul Cotter. 

THE WIFE HATH DECLARED in Court her consent to the 
above will. 
The Executrices at age are sworn in Court according to Law. 

Probatum et Solvit. 

THE INVENTORY OF THE ABOVE THOMAS COTTER praised by 
4 sworn men as follows: 
The Heirs's corbs & husbandry gear praised to £0 11s 0d 
Pledges for the forthcoming of the heirs part 
Tho: Fail according to Law. 
All the rest praised to 0:10:00. 
The goods vizt., the Executrices part by the Executrices 
surrendered in Court and given up to the Mother who hath 
given in pledge to pay all debts and legacies 
Nich: Kelly & Robt Creer according to Law. 

THE WHOLE INVENTORY comes to 1:03:01. 
The goods in the hands of the MOTHER who hath given 
in pledges for the forthcoming of the same for the 
CHILD the witnesses of the Will according to Law.
