Archdeacon Will 1693 Arbory of Joney Costean alias Shurlogue / Sherlock, died about 20 December 1693. 

Wills for the quarter ending 3 February 1693/94 

This is affirmed to be the last will & testamt of Jony Costen (alias) Shurlog who 
departed this life the 20th of Decembr last: 
being sick in body but of perfect memory praised be God for the same. 
Imprs, She committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. 
Itt, She left a ffurlet of principall corn betwixt barley & wheat and 1 sheep 
to be divided att all hallowtide. 
Itt, She left as much cloath as she was carding for to her sister Katharin 
Shurlog (alias) Watterson for a petticoat. 
Itt She left to her husbands grandchild Hen: Costen 1 yearling; 
Itt She appointed & ordained her son in law ffinlow Clucas and his wife Isabell 
Costen (the decedents daughter) execs of all the rest of her goods moveable & 
immoveable till her grandchild Isabell Clucas came to age, and the said child to 
be exec of all her goods then afterward; and if the said child shall dye, then 
that her son in law & his wife shall enjoy the goods.

The Exr sworn in Court according to the will. Probatum est et Solvit 1s. 

The inventory of the Decedent above mentioned taken & priz’d by 4 sworn men 
viz: John Geyll, John Costen, Hen: Keon and Willm Waterson 
amounts to the sum of … £01 : 15s : 00d. 

The Goods in the hands of the ffather who hath given pledges 
John Gell & Hen: Cottere according to Law.
