Jan ye 19th 1695 Lezayre 6 The last will and Testament of phillip Garrett being of pfect memory, first he Committed, his Soul to God and his Body to Christian Buriall ; (edge missing) [I]mprimis he left to his daughter Issable Garrett a sheep and a Lamb and a quarte of woole [2ly] he bequeathed to his son Jon : Garrett six pence Legasie his [3ly] he bequeathed to ^Daughter in law Anne Cally and to his Grand Childe Kath : Garrett a peckle heffer betwixt them [4ly] he bequeathed to his Bro’r Will : Garrett all his Cloase and a yearling {5ly] he left Ewan Kinred to pay unto his Execr. a [leation] [shirt] wch. He borowed of him [6ly} he left Will : Kewney to pay unto his Execr. two bouls of matt Corne which he ought him [7ly] he acknowledged that he ought his son Jon. Garrett eight shillings and if his said son Jon. would demand this eight shills of his Executr. that then the sd. Jon. is to pay his Executr. seaven shills. for woole he gave him, and payment for twenty fleeces more of woole, save only one pottle of Barley and a Gallon of plackett he received from his said son John and colt [8ly] he left that the mair ^wch. was in difference betwixt him and his son John that the said Jon. hath but the sixt part of that Mair due to him, Likewise a Cowe that was in difference betwixt him and the said Jon. he declares that the Cowe was not his and that it was his daughter in law Anne Callys goods that paid for the said Cowe John he declares that he [ought] his son ^three shills and two pence and he allows him ye said sum for mony he paid for a Colt to John Fayle wife he took upon his Conscience that his ^Margt. Kewney did and put her hand Condescend ^to the Contract they gave their son Will : Garrett [9ly] he left the wittnesses 4s a piece Legasye Lastly he Constituted and appointed his Granchilde phillip his Garrett sole Executr. of all the rest of ^Goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever Wittnesses In regard that his Exr. is under age Jon [Moore] my mrk x } jurati the father is sworn in Court according Jon. Cally my mrk x } to Law pbatm et Solvit May the 25th 1696 John Carrad entrs. his claime agt. the Exr. Of his Father Phillip Carrad for the Sume of Eight shillings which he lent & pte him, and his Right ^of the price of a mair …… which was 4s : 6d, and also of the price of a Colt, and also for the Sum …. thirty and Six Shillings being ……….. his part of the price of five oxen, due to him by the Death of his mo ther being her Exr. and also for the Sume of 20s due to him being the price of a Steer that belonged to the Claimer and was sold by his sd. Father for the sd. Sum, …………. …..
