Bride             Febr ye 26th 1699
This is affirmed to  be ye last will & testemt 
of Joney Christian alias Cotter, who departed 
this life ye 23 Janry last.  
First she commited her soule to God, & her 
body to Christian burial.  
Itt, She left to ye poor halfe a Firlet of meale.  
Itt, to her eldest sone Saml Christian, her whole 
right xx xxx to ye teame of oxen husbandry, 
steavs[?], & a quarter of ye crope of corn vixx: 
ye one moetie of her parte thereof.  
Itt: to her sone John her parte of ye peckell heffer, 
to her sone Pattrick a sheep & lamb, to her 
daughters Margreat& Keatrin, each of them 
6d legacy.  Itt: to her daughter Christian all her 
right in ye linins happed & unshaped, ass alsoe 
ye best red pettycoate;  to her sister Keatrin 
Cotter a brown pettycoate, to her mother in law 
a choyce waistcoat, to her daughter Margreats 
2 children a yeard of linin; to her daughter 
Keatrine’s childe a sheep, to Margtt Quarke 
& Aylice Skinch[?] her common weaving aparrell, 
to ye witness Pattrick Cowle & John Camacie 
each of them 6d.  
Itt, she constituted & ordanied her loveing 
husband Samuell Christian her true & lawfull 
[executor] of all ye rest of her goods moveable 
& unmoveable.

The Execr sworne in Court in form of Law.  
Probatum est et Solvit 1s.  
Pledges to secure the office & pay all debts 
of legacies according to Law the witnesses of the will.

William Kneale & daughter in law Kath: Kneal 
als Xtian enter a claime against the Execr of Jony 
Xtian als Cotter, for the summe £8 : 0 : 0 
being part of the porcion promised in Contract 
and due as will be made to appear, & craves the law
