33      KK Christ Rushen, March the 18th 1701/2
The last will and testament of John Crebbin being 
of perfect mind and memory who departed this life 
about the 18th of March 1701/2. 
First, he committed his soul to God and his body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, he bequeathed six pence legacy to his mother, 
likewise 6 pence legacy to his brother Timothy and 
6 pence to Isable Hutchin. 
Item, he left his part of two oxen to Henry his son 
and half of the crop. 
Item, he nominated ordained and appointed his two 
children to be join Executors of all the rest of 
his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever.

Ann Crebbin, 
Isable Hutchin. 

The Executors underage the Supervisor vizt., 
John Crebbin in behalf of his wife, and Timothy 
his brother are sworn in Court in form of Law. 

February 10th 1701/2
an Inventory of the goods of John Crebbin viewed and 
prized by 4 sworn men, viz., John Cotter, Dan Surluge, 
Nich Clark, William Crebbin. 
Xxxcan and a straddle 0 pounds 0 shilling 2 pence; 
two barrels and a car 0:1:5; 
unwrought flax and boards 0:6:4; 
harrows and lent 0:0:6; 
sackcloth yarn & a fishing line woolen yarn 0:2:7; 
two oxen 3 cows 3:8:6; 
wool & 12 yards of mixt cloth 0:15:10; 
a pot and a gridle and a crook 0:5:4; 
small vessels & earthen vessels 0:2:3; 
crocks and weights 2 chest and a 
   spinning wheel 0:3:5; 
2 sacks and other things 0:1:0; 
shaped clothes linen cloth 0:3:3; 
2 sheets coat vest & britches 0:11:4; 
a hat and 2 barrels 0:7:6; 
5 yards of mixt cloth 0:5:0; 
3 neckcloths 2 barrels & a chest 0;2:4; 
4 horses 1:3:xx; 
sheep and muttons 0:14:8; 
The half of the 2 oxen left to the 
heir or eldest child is 32 shilling 6 pence 
which is to be deducted for his use; 
Sum Total 0:4:5. 

This is to be added to the above Inventory: 
sheep and muttons 0:16:0; 
More goods 0:5:6; 
a piece of xxx 0:0:3; 
In All 9:6:2. 

Funeral charges to be deducted out of 
the inventory laid out for the funeral six shilling 
for other debts fifteen shilling 6 pence 
more comes to 1:2:3; 
More debts for the funeral 0:3:4; 
Total 1:5:5. 

The Children and their goods in the tuition of the 
wife, who has given pledges in form of Law Henry Corkish 
& William Crebbin, and if the children die under age 
then the wife to have 20 shillings of their goods. 

More added to the Inventory of John Crebbin as followeth: 
In corn vizt principal corn 6 stooks 
   priced to 18 pence per stook 0:9:0; 
more in oats vizt 14 stooks at 8 pence per stook 0:9:4. 

April 2nd 1725
Then received from my stepfather Harry Gawn the sum 
of one pound 12 shillings Manks value, being the 
last payment of what ever goods were due to my by 
the death of my father John Crebbin, therefore I 
do hereby acknowledge to be fully paid and satisfied 
for the same and by these presents do acquit and 
discharge my said stepfather his heirs, Executors, 
Administrator and Assigns from all dues or demands 
that I could claim by the will of my deceased father 
and all other accounts or reckonings whatsoever, 
as witnesseth my subscription the day and year first 
above written

January 15, 1730
Henry Gawn (husband of Margaret Crebbin) owns to be 
paid from her mother Isabel Gawn alias Corkish all 
that was due by the decease of John Crebbin the said 
Margaret Crebbin’s father.
