KK Andrews John Joughin perished by sea about ye 10th of Augt 1709 whereof ye church having intelligence hath decreed his children, vizt Charles, Nelly, Anne & John his – joynt Admrs of all his goods movable & immovable The next of kin on ye father's side Philip Joughin Ann Joughin, & Nelly Joughin ---- supervisors. Th--- the three Supers sworn in Court in form of Law a Legacy to ye wife upon sight of ye Inventory.. [Inventory follows – very faint. Totals 7 : 12 : 7] At KK Andrews March 27th 1722 This day Charles, Nelly & Anne Joughin children of John Joughin do hereby acknowledge to have recd all the Goods that are due unto them by their fa- thers Death from the hands of Philip Kneal, Philip Joughin & Thomas Kinread their overseers: Of which they acquit exonerate & discharge their sd overseers for ever. And John Joughin's part of Goods -it in the hands of the Mother, which is 7 : 15 : 3d who is answerable for 2s –d ½ more to the above three children ---- thereupon we s— our marks to our names Cha: Joughin x Witnesses Nelly Joughin x Don.
