This is affirmed to be ye last Will & Testament
of James Lawson who departed this life ye 13th of
April 1712 being in perfect memory at ye making
thereof. First he committed his Soul to God & body
to Xtian buriall. Itm he left his part of ye land
called ye Crockannan to his son John Itm he left his part
of ye morgaged land called Caple Vartin to his son John Itm he
left his part of Cannells croft to his sd son John and his
son Richard betwixt them Itm he left to his Sd son Richard
the weavers looms, and he to teach or inftruct ye little
boy his brother in his trade of weaving. Itm the sheep
a year old to his two youngest Sons, & a sheep & lamb betwixt
them. Lastly he conftituted his loving wife sole
Excrtx and she to give what she though fitt to his two
daughters and his said wife to dispose of his house,.....
ground they share in as she shall think fit to any of his
Children.
