This is affirmed to be ye last will of
James Lawson who departed this life about
the 7th of July 1717 being in perfect mind
& memory at the making thereof.
First he committed his Soul to God and his
body to Xtian buriall. Itm. He left to his brother
John 6d legasie, to his other brothers Richard & David to
each 6d. Itm. To his sisters Margarett & Jony 6d to each.
Itm. to his said brother Rich. a hatt & his shoes and
stockins. It. to his sister Bahie a sheep & a lamb
Lastley he It. to ye witnesses of ye will 6d a peice.
Lastly he appointed his mother Cathrine Lawson sole
Executrx of all ye rest of his goods whatsoever.
It. he decalred that John Quark at Kiandroghad did
owe him 15d & payment for ye the wool in ye loomes.
Will Craine did owe him 10d Thos Gawne 6d a shilling
from Wm Kneen, besides others yt his mother has ...
