The last will and testament of Christian Clucas 
who departed this life the 21 day of December 1717, 
is as follows. 
First, she committed her soul to Almighty God and 
her body to Christian burial. 
Item, she left and bequeathed unto her daughter 
Katherine Moor a cow and a dozen of sheep; and 
unto her granddaughter Elinor Moor a heifer. 
Item, she left unto her loving husband Thomas 
Clucas his choice beast she and he had in their 
possession. 
Item, she left unto William Gell her own servant 
a lamb and likewise a lamb unto his brother John 
Gell. 
And lastly, she constituted and appointed her 
daughters Margaret Clucas & Mary Clucas joint 
Executrices of all the rest of her goods moveable 
and immoveable whatsoever only the said Mary 
Clucas was to have two head of cattle out of 
the whole over and above the said Margaret 
Clucas, and in case either of the said Margaret 
or Mary Clucas die, then the whole goods are 
left unto the surviving person, and in case 
both Margaret and Mary Clucas die then all 
the goods are left unto their father Thomas Clucas. 

Witnesses: Jon: Fargher, Isabel Kelley.

The Executrices being absent, the father is sworn 
in Court in form of Law, and to give a true account 
to the daughters. 
Pledges in form of Law John Clucas & John Fargher. 

The Inventory within a month.

Mary one of the Executrices is sworn in form of 
Law & to give a just and true account to her sister. 

August the 4th 1718
Philip Moore of Douglas, merchant, enters a 
claim against the Executrices of Christian 
Clucas for the sum of 1 pound 10 shillings 11½ pence, 
and craves the Law. 

November the 3rd 1718
Charles Moore of Douglas enters a claim against 
the Executrices of Christian Clucas als Cottier 
for the sum of fifty pounds current money and 
craves the Law. 

February the 2nd, 1718/19
Capt John Oates senior enters his claim against 
the Executrices of Christian Clucas for 17 shillings 
with the interest thereof, and craves the Law. 

This the 15th of October 1720, the Inventory of Christian Clucas 
of KK Marown, taken this day the goods viewed & praised 
by four sworn men as follows: 
The sheep 4 pounds 12 shillings 0 pence; 
The cattle 15:4:6; 
The goats 1:1:0; 
The household goods 5:11:8:2; 
Total 26 pounds 19 shillings 2 pence 2. 
Besides the goods which she sold which 
is twenty one pound 21:0:0:0. 
Total sum 47:15:2:2. 
Two more goats in KK lonan 2:0:0. 
Total: 49:19:2:4/2. 
Due for wool: 0:13:10. 
Total 50:13:0
