The Last Will & Testament of Catherine Corlet. als Keig of 
Ballaugh who departed this life the 18th day of Jan1717/18 
being of perfect mind and Sound Memory at the making 
hereof 
1st She Committed her Soul to God, and Body to Christian Burial 
2dly She left three Sheep, with on to Each the three Children of her Son 
John Corlet 
3dly She left one red petticoat & one black petticoat, one Chest and her 
Shaped Linnen, to her grand Daughter Mary Corlet 
4thly She Excluded all Claimers with 6 pence Legacy & left 6 pence to 
Each the witnesses of this Will 
5thly She bequeathed her part of the Croft, or plat of ground where 
She lived unto her Grandson John Corlet, in nature of a Deed 
of Gift -- She declared that the old riding hood wch.she had 
did belong to her Sister Dorathy 
Lastly She nominated ordained and appointed her son John Corlet 
Sole Exr.of all the rest of her Goods of what nature Soever

Wm.Gaion one of the witnesses being Sent for, the next day after this 
Will was made -- the Testatrix declared that her Brother Thos.Lewn 
owed unto her, the Sum of Forty Shillings being part of a former 
debt, and that the rest of the Sd.debts she had recieved 
This prov'd in Court by Wm.Gawn 

The Exect.is Sworn in Court in form 
of Law - And gave pledges for payment 
of Debts & Legacys Viz.the Witnesses
