This is affirmed to be the last Will & Testament
of Cathrine Joughin who departed this Life
about the 7th April 1721 Being in perfect mind
& memory at the making thereof.
	First She committed her Soul to God & her
Body to Christian Burial. Item, She left three
coifs apiece to Cathrine Sayle, Ann Cottr &
Jony Kinry for looking after her: with an Apron

& ye little wheel to Ann Cotter Item, She
left the Irish whool to Jane Kynry & order'd
her to pay five shillings Cost. Item She
declared that Bahey Lace owed her twenty three
shillings whereof she left three shillings to her
[self] & ye other 20s to be secur'd for her son
Patrick her Exec'r. She left to ye s'd Bahy Lace
a quilted _____ petticoat & Hood. Item she left
to her Brother Philip Joughin five shillings. And 
six pence to her sister [Anne]. To her sister
Nelly six pence Legacy, with her Black Mantas
& petticoat for which she was to [procure] a
Winding sheet. Item, She declared that [Betsy Keig]
owed her fourteen pence; And from Stephen
Lace's wife 4d. From John Wade X 4d; From
Philip Christian six shillings, which was to be ex-
-pended on her funeral. To ye Witnesses Six
pence each. Item, She left to her son Wm
McNameer a sheep & yearling. And appointed
her son Patrick her Exec'r of all the rest of her
Goods. She left to her [Father] the use of ye
		during his life
Goods in the house ^ & then to return to her Exec'r
Her Father was to have ye use of ye Coverlet &
Blanket, if he took care thereof, otherwise to
be prized for ye use of the Exec'r.  Cathrine
Cotter one of the witnesses further declared that she
left to Bahy Lace a brown Mantas for her
trouble & care over her. Philip Kneal was appointed
overseer of ye Exec'r by the Testatrix

Cathrine Cotter als Cormod	}		age, Philip Kneal the
Jony Kynry als Ratcliffe	} jurati	overseer is Sworn in
						Court in form of Law

Transcribers Note: There follows some very garbled inventories and acknowledgements. 
Within these notes it is indicated that Catherine Joughin's father was Charles Joughin. 
The following note clarifies to some extent the married name of Catherine.


6th Dec'r 1731 Patrick McNameer Son & Exec'r of Cath. Joughin came this day
to the records and acknowledged to be fully paid
& satisfyed at & from the hands of his Supervisor
Philip Kneal for all that was due unto him the 
s'd Patrick by the Executorship of his Moth'r Cath:
Joughin, and does therefore hereby Acquit and
discharge the s'd Philip Kneal his Heirs Ex'rs & Admin's
of the Same for ever - Witness my Mark to my name

At Ballaugh May 21st 1726
Wm McNameer of Ballaugh has acknow-
ledged to have rec'd for his son Wm McNameer
(now in Ireland) the sheep & yearling legacy let
to his s'd son by his mother Cath: Joughin
dec'd & therefore he hereby acquits Philip
Kneal his Ex'rs & Adm'rs for the same &
obliges himself to be answerable for the
s'd sheep & yearling to his son, when so
ever he shall demand or call for them

I Patrick McNameer son & Ex'r of Catherine Joughin
of KK Andrews
do acknowledge to have this day rec'd from my Super-
=vis'r Philip Kneal the sum of forty two shillings
& seven pence halfpenny, & thereby to be fully paid
& satisfied all that was due to me by the death
of my s'd mother, therefore do fully acquit & discharge
the s'd Philip Kneal his Heirs, Ex'rs & Adm'rs on
the s'd acc't. As witness my subscription this
6th day of June, 1726
