3. At a Court held at Duglass June 17 . 1723. John Christian of Duglass, who lived for sometime as Mariner in Liverpool, perished at Sea in the Tyldesley Galley about the 17th June 1720 near the Gulf of Florida intestate, whereof the Court having intelligence hath decreed his only Child John Christian Sole & lawful Admr. Of all his Goods movable & immovable who being under Age, the next of Kinn on the father's side Vizt. Thomas, Jane, Isabel, Jony, & Mary Christian, are Supervisors ; And the wife of the Deceadt. Dorothy Chipping is Sworn in Court in form of Law. To whom a Legacy will be orderd. upon Sight of the Inventory. [Thomas] Christian, & Willm. Xtian the Husband of Jane are Sworn Supvs., the rest being absent. Decretum est & Solvit (Note: the next 2 rows are crossed out) The Goods due to the Child are mentioned in the Will of John Christian & Jony Xtian als Cannell Pledges for ye forthcoming of ye Goods Mr. Jon.
