68 KK Andreas The last will and testament of James Lawson who departed this life on ye 28 January 1723-4 and was in perfect mind & memory at the making of it. First he committed his soul to God and his body to christian burial. Item He left to John Cormod his father in law, his flax, for which he was to make 18 Gibbyns. To his Brother Ned Lawson hisaaashoes & stockings, with two neck cloath & coat. To his nephew Ned Lawson junr his hatt. Item He left to his son Anthony Lawson his part of the lands etc as heirship; out of which he was to pay twenty shillings to his other child John Lawson. And if his wife would give her consent to settle her part of the land as inheritance on her sd son Anthony, then she was to have the lands during her life: And his sd son Anthony to pay forty shillings to his sd son John before in... Lastly He constituted & appointed his wife sole Exectrx of all the rest of his goods movebale & immovable whatsoever He declared that if his wife would be reduced in her circumstances & not able to maintain the child= ren, then she had liberty to mortgage part of Lagg ny Shure for their maintenance. And if ye children should die under age, then his part of ye land to return to his own next of kindred.
