The last will and testament of John Clugas of Fiztard 
who departed this life about the 21st March 1724/5, 
being in perfect memory at the making thereof. 
First, he committed he soul to God and body to 
Christian burial. 
He left to his brother Thomas Clugas all his houses and 
lands, he paying thirty shillings to his sister Jane 
Clugas. 
Item, he left his part of the boat and nets between 
his two sisters Margaret & Ellinor Clugas. 
Item, he left to his sister Mary Clugas half of 
six sheep. 
Item, he left to his nephew John Clugas of Port le 
Murrey a heifer. 
Item, he left to his brother Thomas Clugas a fir 
chest and half of his father’s clothes and the 
other half to his brother William Clugas. 
Lastly, he constituted and appointed his sister 
Isable Clugas Executor of all the rest of his 
goods moveable and immoveable in presence of 
[witnesses] 
Thomas Watterson, 
John Kinnish. 

The Executrix sworn in Court in form of Law; 
pledges the witnesses of the will. 

February 17, 1728
Jane Clucas hath this day received from her brother in 
law John Crebbin the sum of nine pounds due to her by 
the death of her mother and the further sum of thirty 
shillings due to her by the death of her brother John 
Clucas, and doth hereby acquit and discharge her said 
brother in law his heirs executors &c., forever of the 
same. Witness her mark to her name the day and year 
above said.
