119               KK Andrews, 1729

This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament 
of Margaret Kaneen alias Cowle of KK Andrews who 
departed this life about the sixteenth day of Jann. 
1729 being of perfect mind & memory at the making thereof.  
Itms.  She committed her soul to God, And her body 
to Christian burial.  
Itm.  She willd to her son Wilm Kaneen a new fledge, a 
blanket, & bolster, And all the goods yt the sd Willm 
has of his own or that are named upon, in consideration 
whereas the sd Wilm promis’d to pay twenty shillings 
to, her, ye testatrix’s grandchild, Margery Kelly when 
she comes to age, And in case ye sd Margery dies a minor 
then ye sd  twenty shillings is to fall due to ye eldest 
that shall be alive of ye sd Margery’s Sister when she 
arrives to lawful years; she further left to son Wm 
a 3 yd of sheet.  
Itm.  She left to her daughter Katherine a Feather bed.  
And if ye sd Katherine dies wth out Gine then ye sd bed; 
if it remains, is to fall due to her aforesd grand-child 
Margery Kelley.  
Itm.  She left to her son Daniel an Ewe of two years old.  
Itm.  She left all her shap’d linnen & woollen apparel 
equally, betwixt her Daughters Katherine & Margery.  
Lastly, She Nominated and Appointed her daughter Katherine 
Kaneen aforesd Sole & Lawful Exectx of all the rest of 
her goods moveable and imoveable whatsoever.

To the Witnesses of the Will 6d each.

Decr 31, 1730
Thos. Kelly Y doon in KK Braddan enters a claim agt 
the Exectx of Margt Kaneen als Cowle for the sum of 
forty shills & a Dozn of Lambs of a year old.  And crave the Law.

Apl 28th 1741.  
Margery Kelly, the Grndaughter mentioned in the written 
Will came this day and received the twenty Shillings 
bequeathed unto her by her Grandmother from the hands of 
William Kaneen and does hereby acquit and discharge him for 
ever for the same as witness her mrk to her name.

Apl 28th 1741 – 
The above sd Margery Kelly acknowledges to have received the Bed 
wth was to fall due to her by the death of her Aunt Katherine and 
does hereby acquit the said Kathrine’s Exectr for ever for the same.
