3 Lonan January the first 1732 At Kk Maughold This day it is affirmed that on the 5th Day of December Last past Alice Kewley als Christian formerly of Kk Lonnon Declared and M[ade?] her last will and Testament in Manner and form following being of p[er]fect mind and Sound memory at Makeing thereof Imprs she committed her Soull to allmighty God and her body to Christian buriall Ittem she Left and bequeath'd to her Son Wm Kewley her part of the horses betwixt them; as also her part of the Goats. Likewise betwixt the testatrix and her Sd son She Left unto him: Excepting the kids that Her part of the Sayd Goats would have this present year; wch she reserved to her Execrx hereafter mentioned Itt: She Left to her Son James Kewley forty Shills Legacy: Itt: She Left her Daughter Dorothy five Shills Legacy: Itt: She Left her GrandSons Wm Kewley of Agnaish and John Corteen of Tallooqueen her part of the Sheep on the Hou-zzyi Equally betwixt them as Legacy: Itt: She Left her Grand Child Dorothy Kewley a Black Heifer in the keeping of her fathr as Legacy Ittm: She Left her Grandchild Margtt Cortteen a croft (?) in tallowqueen Ittm She Left her Grand Sons Phillip and James Kewley Each of them an Ewe Lastly She nominated and appointed her Daughter Kathrine Corteen the wife of Wm Corteen of Tallow Queen in the parish of Kk Maughold her whole and Sole Execttx of all the rest of her Goods Effects and Chattles of what nature or kind So ever moveable and Immoveable: (List of Debt due to her not copied) Wittnesses present Wm Kerrish's X Wm Quayle's X jurati May 22, 1735 Codicill additur The Witnesses do further depose in Court that about a Month after the making the the within will being Sent for by the Testatrix, she declar'd that She left to her Son James the Share of the Goats wch She had before bequeathed to her Son Willm She told them further that there was a little wheel of hers in Gretch Veg Wm Corteen husband of the Exectx Sworn in Court in form of Law Pledges are Captn John Oates & Wm Kerruish one the witnesses of the Will Probatum est & solvit 12d
