DAWSON, Ann 1735-2 Ger LEECE A 53 0106215 53 This is affirmed to be the last Will of Ann Dawson (alias) Leece who departed this life about the 21st Novr 1735. Imprs, She committed her Soul to God & Body to Christian burial. She left to her husband John Dawson her half of the cow & a brown petticoat and also a white one. She left to her eldest son John half the house he paying ye other two children 20s each & the half of the house to descend in case of death from child to child and if they all dye the same to fall to her relations. She left to her son John the 2 largest pewter dishes being the Gift of his Godfathers and Godmother. She leaves all the rest of her goods equally between her three children vizt John Thomas & Wm Dawson, and the tuition of the children to her husband who is to have the use of the house during his Life. Witnessses: John Crellin} Thos Shimin} jurati. The Husband is sworn in behalf of ye Execrs and also overseer and has given pledges Thos Cannon & Willm Dawson of the Conn:Gary. Probatum & Solvit 12d. Mar: 19th 1735: Debts to be deducted out of the Deads part of the within Inventory To funeral charges 1 pound : 00 shillings 00 pence The Deads part of the other Debts 1:10:00 Know all men by these presents that I John Dawson in Peeltown, Do hereby acknowledge my self to be Justly Indebted unto my two sons Thomas & William Dawson on accompt of their mother share of goods the sum of two pounds six shillings and four pence equally between them which sum I oblige my self Heirs Exrs Adminrs & assigns to pay in penalty of Double the value, In Wittness whereof I have put my mark to my name this 16th June 1760, John Dawson my X. Witnesses present: Henery Lace, Peter Queirk. We Thos Dawson & Wm Dawson of Peeltown do acknowledge to have recd from Gilbt McHutchin & Cath: McHutchin als Dawson his wife the legal representatives of John Dawson our father decd., the sum of two pounds six shillings & four pence being the amount of the within note. As also all other claims & demands which we or either of us may or might claim under the last will & testamt of Ann Dawson our mother dated the 21st Novr 1735. And we hereby exonerate, acquit & discharge the said Gilbt McHutchin & Cath: his wife their heirs Execrs & Admins by these presents. As witness our subscriptions this 22d May 1783.
