DAUGHERTY, William 1735-2 And A 56 0106215 The last Will of Will'm Daugherty who was buryed the 20th of Decemb'r 1735 Being in a good mind & Memory - he first Comitted his Soul to God & his Body to Christian burial - And afterwards dispos'd of all his oth'r concerns in Man'r following - He left & bequeath'd to his four children Wm, Jony, John & Thomas Daugherty the Sum of Eighteen pounds equally betwixt them - And nominated his s'd Son Wm. affores'd Sole Exec'r - who is to pay their Sev'rl proportions of Eighteen Pounds to his Bro'rs and Sister & to have the fourth part thereof to himself To all w'ch the Ex'r Consents and in case the whole goods Amounted to more than Eighteen pounds, it was agreed that the Surplusage shou'd be wholy his own - Lastly he left to the Witnesses of this will 6d each Witnesses Wm. Kneal X} jurati The Exec'r Sworn in form of Law and Consents to pay to his Bro'rs & Sister their full proportions of the Eighteen pounds above mentioned – And to pay the Debts of the Testator according to Law For all w'ch he has given Pledges viz't Wm Tear & Wm Kneal the Witnesses of the Will Probatum est & Solvit 12d Mar: 11th 1736 John Daugherty enters a Claim ag't the Exec'r of his Bro'r Wm Daugherty for 14 shill's & Craves the Law He enters also ag't s'd Exec'r for managing the Estate of the Testator taking care of ____ ___ & his whole ____ at ye Claim'ts own Charge during a [Twelve:month] for w'ch he refers Feb: 24 1737 - John & Tho's Daugherty children of Wm Daugherty and Wm Joughin in behalf of his wife Jony Joughin als Daugherty all Acknowledge to be fully paid & Sa: :tisfy'd by their Bro'r Wm Daugherty the Exec'r of their s'd Fath'r their respective proportions of the Eighteen pounds bequeathed unto them by their s'd [Father] And this before me Wm.
