The last Will & Testament of Cath. Fargher 
als Quinney who departed this life about the 
18th of Janry 1736/7, being of perfect mind 
and memory at the making thereof as followeth.  
First, She committed her soul to God and 
her body Christian burial.  Itm, She left five 
shillings legacy to John Cottingham’s wife in 
Ballasalla, and six pence legacy to her own 
son John Fargher of Ballargey; She cutt of 
all persons from any right to her goods by the 
bequest of six pence legacy.  Lastly, She 
nominated ordained and appointed her 
daughter Margt Kennagh als Fargher sole 
Executx of all the rest of her goods moveable 
and immoveable.
