The Last will and testament of Elizabeth the
wife of Willm Corkill of the parish of KK maughold
who departed this life the 15th of Septr Last 1738
being of perfect mind & memory at the meaking
thereof
First she committed her soull to almighty god
and her body to Christian Buriall  -- --
Secondly she bequeathed to her Husband Willm Corkill
theire white Horse
..ly She Left to her daughter Katheren Corkill ten
shillings & a pice of stuff  about eleven yards
..ly She Left to her son Willm Corkill the one half
of their Lands which her husband & she bought
from Willm Curllett  formerly of ballnegorrey which
Land with the (blot)ett thereof is to continue in
her daughter Margretts possession eleven years;
during which time she is to provide for her brother
meat, drink, & clothing, and at the end of the sd
terme she is to deliver the land to her brother
redy plowe'd and sone if he be Living if not
she is to enjoy the sd Lands and Houses there-on
for Ever.
She Left to the two witnesses each of them a sheep
..tly she appointed her daughter Margrett Corkill sole
Executrix of all the rest of her goods of what
nature or kind forever

At Lezayre ~ Octor 24 1738. Margt Colkitt one of the -
Witnesses of this will being looked upon to be dangerously ill -
The Vicr of Lezayre is Impowered to take the oath of both the
Witnesses at her house ~~


At Lezayre  Octor. 24th. 1738

Margt Corkill the Execrx within named surrend..
to her Father Wm Corkill all her Right & Title
to the Lands & Goods mention'd in this will
upon Consideration whereof he does now engage
to Settle & does hereby Settle upon his son Wm
all his Lands & husbandry gears after his Decease
~ He does also oblige himself to give to the above
Margt Three pounds & Three pounds also to his daughter
Catherine, the half of these sums to be paid
To his sd Daurs upon Demand & the remainder
At the Expiration of Six years ~
Note ~ Wm Corkill Settls his Lands upon his son Wm &
Heirs as Inheritance ~

Hereupon ~ Wm Corkill Senr is sworn Exr in form of
Law ~  Pledges are John Taggart & James

them to have been paid them before - Comple-
:ats the #3 ~ promised at the probate of
the last will of Elizth Corkil ~ upon wch-
sd Margt wth her husband discharges -
her father Wm Corkill of y sum for ever-

June 16.1750 - Wm Corkill has now pd to his
Daur Catharine Three pounds being in full for the
Goods due to her by her mother Elizth Corkill = And
she does hereby acquit her father & all others of the
Same for ever ~ before me ~   Edw: Moore
