Rushen 1738 The last will and testament of Richard Callister of the parish of Trinity Rushen who departed this life the 20th day of Sep 1738 being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof. Item: He committed his soul to God and his body to be interred after a Christian manner in the body of the church of Rushen. Item: He bequeathed to his eldest son William six pence legacy. Item: To his son Daniel three pounds. Item: To his son and daughter Thos and Eleanor forty shillings his part of the mortgage of Booally - Adda equally among them both. William to his youngest child Jane his half of the dwelling house and out house and the easements about it, after the death of his loving wife whom he willed to enjoy the same during her life. Item: He willed that if either of his two daughters Eleanor or Jane should die under age the other living daughter should have and enjoy her part of goods, and if both should die, that then their goods to be equally among his other children as the law provides in such cases. Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving wife sole executrix of the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable. He appointed James Waterson and Wm Clucas guardians of his children. Witnesses: Nicholas Christian Joney Cannell He declared that his mother owed him 7 shilling for an oar he bought for her at Castletown some years ago, and a legacy left him by his grandmother (as may appear by her will) which he never received.
