75           Braddan
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John Corkill of KK
Braddan, who departed this life at or about 10 Nov 1738.
Item He left to his daughter Jony, the dumb girl, a cow in lieu of her
mother's goods, which said cow he said would balance to satisfy her for her
part of her mother's goods.
Item He left to his said daughter, the dumb girl, all his goods whatsoever
only a white sheep he left to his wife.
Item He left to his said daughter Jony his part of the house in Douglas
and the said house to fall to his other daughter Ann after the dumb girl's
decease.
Item he appointed his brother William Corkill and sister Dorothy supervisors
over the dumb girl, his daughter.
He left six pence legacy to all other claimers and desired whoever took
the best care of ye said dumb girl was to get whatever goods remained after
her decease.
Witnesses Henry Kelly and William Corkan.
William Corkill and Robert Curghey, husband of Dorothy are sworn overseers
of the dumb girl.
