The last will and testament of Wm Christian of Ballacurry in the parish of 
Jurby who departed this life on or about the 12th. Day of February 1737.
He committed his  soul to God and his body to Christian buryal, item   
he willed that his eldest son Wm would pay his [ extrx] hereunafter mentioned  
three pounds, wtch was due to him the testator by the death of the sd  Wms  
mother and six pence legacy to each of his children; 
lastly he constituted and appointed his loving wife Ann sole extx of all the 
rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever.

Nov 14 1738   Mr Thos [Clark]  junr enters a claim for £0-12 - [shillings] 
[Oct] 3rd. 1738  upon settlemt [wth] the Widow the sum of  [unreadable]

Whereas  Ann Christian the extrix of wn christian deceased neglected to give in 
pledges for the paymt of all debts and legacys, and the [Bond] m  Edward Moore 
having ordered the sumner [General] to possess himself of all the goods belonging 
to the dec'd  and to dispose of them to the best advantage  and the sd goods 
being this day [unable to read next few words]  
Principal [creditors] Mr Robert Corlett and Robert Brew hence this day d[isired]  
of the whole goods belonging to the dec'd  might be delivered into their hands .
When upon it's [approved] [consented]  unto and the Sumn Gen ell hath delivered 
all thr goods as inventoried unto the sd  Robert  Corlett and Robert brew they 
hereby oblidgeing themselves to pay all debts and legacys in such manner as the 
[unable to read next two words]  shall think proper to order and [direct] and for 
the performance here of they the sd. Robert corlett & Robert brew to bind 
themselves & [****] in ye penalty of five pounds  to be [devised] & paid according 
to [law] in witness whereof they have hereunto [set] their hands this 12th.
