Philip Cannell of Ballacrenane being at the Herring fishing, was driven
off the Island by a violent storm and cast away near upon the coast of
Scotland upon Tuesday the 5th August last intestate.  The court upon
intelligence hereof hath decreed his three children vizt John, Joany, and
Phillip Cannell joint administrators of all his goods moveable and
immoveable who being all under age.  The uncles vizt John Cannell and
Wm Cannell husband of Anne,  Thos Kelly husband of Mary Cannell are sworn
overseers in form of law.
And have consented to deliver the deads part of the children and their goods
to the tuition of their mother which she accordingly accepted of
and gave pledges vizt Capt John Lace her brother and John Cannell one of the
supervisors.
The widow is sworn to bring a perfect inventory as also John Cannell the old
man to be just in division of the goods.

Total amount of Philip Cannell's inventory 29 pounds 13 sh and 9 ½
Total debts and other charges to be deducted as appears per Acct
annexed
Remains to be divided among the administrators 22 pounds 16 pence 3½
which sum being divided between John and Joney Cannell(Philip the other
child and administrator having dyed in his minority)
Each to share amounts to the sum of 11 pounds 8 shillings 1¾
May 19 1760 Joney Cannel one of the administrators being arrived to lawful
years acknowledge to have rec'd from her brother John Cannell
who was executor of their mother Alice who had these goods committed unto
her the sum of eight pounds in part of the share of goods due unto her by
the decease of her father Philip Cannell as also of her brother
Philip and hereby acquits and discharged her said brother John Cannell
his executors and administrators for so much

Joney Cannell within named came this day to the Registry
and received from her brother John Cannell the sum of three pounds eight
shillings and a penny ¾ in full of the share of goods due unto her as
well by the death of her father Philip Cannell as by the death of her
brother Philip Cannell, and acquits and discharges her said brother John
Cannell his heirs executors and administrators of the same
