53 KK Bride The last will and testament of John Christian of Ballafayle who departed this life March the 25th 1740, in perfect mind and memory. First, He committed his soul unto God, and his body to Christian burial. Itm, He left to his DAUGHTER CATHRINE CHRISTIAN the three pound morgage which he had in Ballacondey, twenty shillings which he owed he included and paid therein. Itm, besides this he left her his sd DAUGHTER a cow. Itm, he left six pence legacy to any those who make any lawful claime or pretence to his goods. Itm, he left half the cropp to whoever is Heire accorded to his father's will, and half the team of his own free Will, and another quarter of ye cropp after the death of his wife, and a furnished bed; with two bedstocks. Itm, he named and appointed his WIFE DOROTHY sole Execr of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable, and left the care and tuition of his two nephews underage to his sd wife and his DAUGHTER CATHRINE to live with, and a---t her therein.To the witnesses of his will six pence or seven pence legacyWittnesses: Wm Sayle, Wm Christian, jurati. THE RELICT THE EXECR is sworn in Court in form of Law, as also overseer of her two NEPHEWS pursuant to ye Will.
