This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of 
JANE CORLETT wife of Wm Corlett smith of Dougals this 
thirty day of July 1741 being in good and perfect 
memory at the making of the same, committed her soul 
to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial and 
her worldly goods in form and manner following.  
Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my son PETER CORLETT 
my right of the little house in the backside adjoining 
to the smithy, a bed bolster and bed clothes as I lie 
on as legacy.  
Item, I give and bequeath to my DAUGHTER JANE CORLETT 
a bed bolster and bed clothes, my right of the Brew 
house and backside and all easements belonging to it 
as legacy.  
Item, I give and bequeath to my DAUGHTER CATHRINE 
CORLETT-CUBBON a table cloth, a wooden bowl and two 
ale casks as legacy.  
Item, I give and bequeath to my GRANDDAUGHTER JANE 
CUBBON a pewter dish as legacy.  
Item, I give to my DAUGHTER ANN MY SON WILLIAM WIFE 
two cowillors and a fine sieve as legacy.  
Item, I give and bequeath to my GRANDDAUGHTER ANN 
CORLETT a gold ring that my SON ROBERT have in 
keeping as legacy.  
Item, I give and bequeath six pence to all suers 
and claimers as legacy.  
Lastly, I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods 
moveable and immoveable equally betwixt my SON PETER 
& MY DAUGHTER JANE of what kind or denomination 
soever which both being my Executors solely and 
wholly.

AT A CONSISTORY HELD AT DOUGLAS, 
Feb: 9th 1741: 
The Executors are sworn in Court in form of Law and
