50        Lezayre
The last will and testament of THOMAS CORLETT of 
Glantramman who departed this life the 26th day 
of February last being of perfect memory at the 
making thereof.  
Item, he left to his two youngest CHILDREN vizt., 
EDMD AND CATHERINE twenty pounds of moneys he had 
then in his house equally betwixt them.  
Item, he left to his beloved WIFE ten shillings legacy.  
Item, he left to the poor of the Parish ten 
shillings legacy.  
Item, he left to his two SISTERS vizt., ISABEL AND 
CATHERINE ten shillings apiece legacy.  
Item, he declared that there was sixteen or 
seventeen  pounds due to him from his BROTHER EDMOND 
of an old account which he left to himself as a legacy, 
in case he should not strive nor contend with his 
children for some mortgages he had upon his said 
BROTHER EDMOND's Estate; but in case he should 
strive that then he cut him off with twenty 
shillings legacy and to pay the above mentioned sixteen 
or seventeen pounds to his Executors.  
Item, he nominated, constituted, and appointed his 
three CHILDREN vizt., THOMAS, EDMOND, AND CATHERINE 
Executors of all the rest of his goods jointly moveable 
and immoveable whatsoever provided the said THOMAS 
doth not resist the payment of the legacies left to 
the said EDMD AND CATHERINE mentioned in their 
mother's will; and in case he doth resist the 
payment thereof that then he excluded the said 
THOMAS from having any part of his Executorship, 
only twenty shillings legacy; also he declared 
and appointed that if either of the said two 
youngest CHILDREN died within a year and a day, 
thence ensuing, that then the surviving person 
of them should enjoy the decedents part of the 
Executorsip as well as of the above mentioned 
twenty pounds.  
He likewise declared and appointed that if his 
said DAUGHTER CATHERINE married before she arrived 
to the age of twenty and seven years, without 
the consent of Mr. WILLIAM CHRISTIAN Attorney 
General, and her BROTHER THOMAS, that then he 
cut her off with ten pounds legacy.  
And to the witnesses of his will xxx pence apiece.  
1st March 1741.

AT A CONSISTORY COURT AT KK MICHAEL March 10th 1741
The Witnesses have proved the contents of the within will. 
Before me, Edw:Moore.                

FORASMUCH AS IT APPEARS by the Contract Bargain of Mr. 
THOMAS CURLET of Glantramman, in Lezaire, and HIS WIFE 
MRS ISSABLE NORRIS of KK Arbory that the full benefit 
and profits of the sum of twenty and nine pounds 
sterling is in the Second Article thereof agreed upon 
by the said Parties to be enjoyed and possessed by said 
Mr CURLET'S INTENDED WIFE and not only to prevent her 
trouble in disposing of the said sum to her best 
advantage, but also to have it out of the power of said 
Mr. CURLET'S  foresaid wife, or any one in her behalf 
for the future; 
It is hereby agree upon by Capt. WILLIAM BRIDSON of 
KK Malew, to whom ye above said Mrs. CURLET this day 
before the Reverend Court at Lezaire has given full 
and sole power to act in the premises for her, and 
in her stead and behalf, and also by Mr. THOMAS CURLET 
JUNIOR SON and Executor to his FATHER beofresaid and 
CATHERINE HIS SISTER that they are to pay yearly and 
every year, during their foresaid STEPMOTHER'S lifetime, 
either to herself or agent, the sum of twenty four 
shillings and six pence, two thirds thereof to be paid 
yearly by the aforesaid CATHERINE, and one third by 
her said BROTHER THOMAS; 
The said Captn BRIDSON, for and in the behalf of the 
above said Mrs. CURLET hereby quitting claim to any 
present or future right either to the said twenty 
and nine pounds, or to any part, parcel or member of 
Glantramman, or to the Lands formerly purchased or 
acquired by Mr. CURLET HER DECEASED HUSBAND, saving 
her widow right thereto, and the possession and 
profits of all said Mr. CURLET's Land, exempt of 
Glantramman before said to be wholly her own during 
her natural life, and after her decease to return to 
her foresaid STEPSON without any incumbrance hereafter 
made by her, or any in her behalf, for the further 
performance of all and singular the afore said 
agreement all the Parties before said bind and 
oblige themselves, their heirs, Executors, Administrators 
and Assigns under the Penalty and forfeiture of 
six[?] pounds sterling in the nature of all other 
fines, as witness their subscriptions June the 1st 1742

At Lez:ayre, June 1, 1742
The parties have acknowledged the within agreement 
before us, which is to be annexed to the last will

THE EXECUTORS are sworn in Court in form of Law and 
have given pledges vizt., Capt William  Bridson and 
William Crow Glan:Dove.
