The last will and testament of John Corkill of Reyntray in the Parish of KK
Christ Lezaire who departed this life about the 28th April last, he being of
perfect memory at the makeing thereof   first he comitted his Soul to God
and his Body to Christian Burial
Itm he bequeathed to Sam:Cottier five yards in length & one yard in bredth
in Close e Nollan (?) to cut turf therein besides his shoes as legacy
Itm He left to the sd Samuels Daughter a she lamb as legacy
Itm he left to Wm Calowe Junr nigh Ramsey a she lamb as legacy
Itm he left six pence a piece legacy to every person that cou'd by right
claim any thing to his Exetors
Itm he nominated, constituted, and appointed his only Daughter Margaret
Corkill Sole Exectx of all the rest of his goods & Chattels Moveable and
immoveable what soever, Save only he left his part of the sheep to his
beloved wife, & six pence apiece to the witnesses of his will provided
always that in case his sd daughter dyes before she arrives to years of
discretion that then he left one day moth (?) of his Meadow in Close e
Nollen to Joney the wife of Wm Callowe night sd Ramsey Imediately after his
sd daughters death. Another daymoth of the sd Meadowe he left his beloved
wife dureing her life time, and after his sd wives decease, that day moth
also he left to Joney the wife of the sd Wm Calowe
He also left two other day moths in the sd Close to his sd beloved wife and
her Exrs for ever, in case his sd daughter dyes before she arrives to years
of discretion as afforesd. He likewise left the product of half a day moth
of hay for three years to Wm Calowe Junr in the sd meadowe. And in case his
daughter lives to Enjoy the premises she is not to enter upon, or [..?..]
any advantage thereof till she arrives to seventeen years. And further he
left that if his sd daughter dyes before she arrives to years of discretion
that then his sd beloved wife, namely Margaret Corkill als Calowe shou'd be
his Exx of the [division ?] of the foregoing legacy's, with aprovise she
remains a widowe or in his name; otherwise or in case she marry's then she
is to be excluded from all the beforegoing legacy's & Executsship
