The last will and testament of Gilbert Clark of the above parish who being sick
and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof.
First He committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Item - He left unto his son in law John Sayle and Joney his wife four pounds
in cash together with whatever they already have in their hands or thereof
goods or cash.
Item - Unto his God daughter Joney Sayle he left twenty shillings.
Item unto he rest of the said Sayle's children viz Jon, Henry, Christian,
and Thomas Sayle he left ten shillings each.
Item - He left and ordered that in case the said John Sayle and Joney his
wife should disturb or molest his son in law John Quayle and Margt his wife
in the possible possession of their houses and lands in Balla-Lhey he ---the
testator in that case left unto the said Sayle his wife and  all his said
children but only six pence legacy.
Item - He left his wearing coast and vest unto Patt Caine.
Item he left unto  his grandchildren viz John and Thos Quayle a cow betwixt
them.
And lastly he nominated and appointed his daughter Margt Quayle als Clark
sole executrix of all the rest of his goods movable and immovable whatsoever
- further the testor left 12d each to the witnesses of this will.  Testes
Thos Caine and John Caine and Tho Cannell   Jurati
John Quayle husband of Margt the executrix nominated in this will is sworn
in court for payment of debts and legacys according to law. Pledges are Thos
Caine and Tho:Cannell witnesses.  Probatum est.

May 3, 1749
John Sayle came this day to the Registry and acknowledged to have received
from the executrix of Gilbert Clark the several legacies left unto him and
his wife by said Gilbert Clark as also the 40 shillings left unto his four
children and for which he is answerable unto them when demanded, and does
hereby acquit and discharge said Gilbert Clark's executrix forever for the
same.

Memo: The father of Joneys 20 shillings in his hand also.
John Sayle and Thomas Sayle, both of KK Michael sons of John Sayle of said
parish, two of the legatees named in the within will of Gilbert Clark, as
also I, Henry Killey, husband of Christian Killey als sayle of the parish of
KK German and I, William Caine of the parish of KK Michael, husband of Joney
Sayle, the said Christian and Joney being two of the said John Sayle's
daughters, legatees, named in the said Gilbert Clark's will, do each and
every hereby acknowledge to have received the several and respective
legacies left and bequeathed unto them by said Gilbert Clark from the hands
of our father John Sayle, viz John and Thomas Sayle and Henry Killey 10
shillings each and William Cain 20 shillings and we do each and every of us
hereby acquit, release and discharge the said John Sayle, our father, of
each and every of the aforesaid legacies.  As Witness our marks to our names
this 29th day of December 1766.
