19      Maughold
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of William Kerruish of
Ballallen in KK Maughold who departed this life about the 14th March
1746 -
Being in perfect mind and memory.
He committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
He left and bequeathed to his daughter Catherine all his right and title to
the houses and land of what nature soever with his part of crop, team,
husbandry gears and utensils and household stuff provided that if the
said Cath should dye without issue or before she enjoyed the said estate
that; then and in that case, he left to his second or third daughter or
whoever of them should inherit or enjoy the estate all the other
particulars left to the said Catherine.
He left and bequeathed to two daughters Anne and Mary seventeen pounds
sterling Manks value equally between them.
He further declared that when the money due to them by Mr Watersonıs will
was got he left his part of it to his three daughters equally between them.
To the witnesses of the will one shilling legacy to each of them.
Lastly he did constitute and appoint his loving wife Catherine Kerruish
alias Curghey whole and sole  executrix of all the rest of his goods and
chattels of what nature or denomination soever.

At a Chapter Court in Lezayre 19 June 1747
Catherine the widow sworn as executor and overseer  with her eldest daughter
overseer of her sister Mary an orphan - pledges for executors Thomas Corteen
and Ewan Kerruish both of Maughold.

7th Jan 1773 - This Mary Kerruish came to the registry and
acknowledged to have received the several legacies bequeathed her by
the last will and testament of her father Wm Kerruish and doth acquit
release and discharge the executrix her heirs administrators and assigns of
said legacy on my part thereof.
As witness her mark to her name the day and date above written.   Mary
