69   Ballaugh 1747/8 

The last Will & Testament of Phi Corlet of 
Ballaugh who departed this life ye.11th.of March, Anno - 
predicto, being of perfect mind, and Sound Memory at the 
making hereof 
Imps.He Committed his Soul to God; & Body to Christian Burial ~ 
2dly.He disposed of his worldly Effects in manner following ~ Viz. 
he left the Choice Cow unto his beloved wife and forty 
Shillings more to be paid her (by his Exr.who is his 
present heir) at Such time as they Shall leave one another 
or not Cohabit in the Estate provided they are well 
agreed, at parting yet the the sd. Cow, she is to recieve; be their 
agreement as it will 

he left twenty Shillings to his Daughter Anne with a Sheep 
and Lamb ~ Item he left a sheep and Lamb to her Son 
Item he left 40 shillings with a Sheep and Lamb to Each 
his two Daughters vizt.Mary and Joney; further he ~ 
declared that he had a young steir which belonged to his sd. 
Daughter Joney which he left to herself 
Item he declared that their was a heifer Equally betwixt himself 
& his Stepson Silvr.Tear, the Testator left his part thereof 
to the sd.Silvr.Tear 
Item he left the Crop and Team with husbandry Geers to his 
Son Thos. Item he left a mutton to the present Rector ~ 
he Excluded all Claimers with Six pence Legacy 
Lastly he nominated< Constituted, Ordained, and appointed his 
forsd.Son Thos.Sole Exr.of all the rest of his wordly Effects 
moveable, & immoveable of what Nature Soever &c
