This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Alice Ellison 
als Quane of Peeltown who departed this life about the 1st of 
March 1747/8 being in perfect mind and memory at the making 
hereof.
First committing her soul to Almighty God and body to 
Christian burial.
2ndly She left to her daughter Alice three pounds,
Item she left to her son Thomas one pound fourteen shillings 
and a sheep.
Item She left to her son Richard twenty shillings
Lastly she nomniated and appointed her loving husband Richard 
to be whole and sole executor of all the rest of her goods 
moveable and immoveable whatsoever excluding any others that 
may pretend to claim any further right with six pence legacy a 
piece.
She likewise declared before the said witnesss that all her 
wearing or body cloathes should be for her said daughters use 
which should be made or fitted for her as she had need for them.
The witnesses have proved the contents of the above will in 
form of law this 10th day of March 1747.

At a Consistory Court at Balnyhowin Nov 10th 1748
The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given 
pledges for payment of debts and legacy vizt Silvester Ellison 
and Thomas Caine. - The children together with their goods are 
comitted unto their father Richard Ellison by consent of the 
overseers Chas Thomas and Wm Quane who are accordingly 
sworn.
